“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.”
Pablo Neruda
“I love the smell of rain and growing things.”
― Serina Hernandez
“And the birds sang their songs of love. And the flowers serenaded with their sublime fragrances. And the whole world fell in love in spring!”
― Avijeet Das
“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.”
A.A. Milne
“The world is exploding in emerald, sage, and lusty chartreuse – neon green with so much yellow in it. It is an explosive green that, if one could watch it moment by moment throughout the day, would grow in every dimension.”
Amy Seidl
“Spring is not a season; it is a mysterious illusionist who sets off fireworks in the depths of our soul!”
Mehmet Murat ildan
“Spring drew on…and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.”
Charlotte Brontë
That’s so beautiful, dear Agnes, you really warmed my heart with this post. Thanks. Have a nice weekend, kind regards from cold Hamburg, Mitza

Dear Mitza, that was exactly my aim, I know that in quite a few countries of my friends and followers the winter still has a hold over the land and therefore I wanted to give cheer with spring flowers from Gozo. Have a lovely weekend.

Lovely except for the snails!

Haha Andrew, I never knew that you did not like snails! I rescue them when they push their houses across the footpaths after rain so that they don’t get trampled on 🙂

I have a garden refuge for snails and they do huge damage.

I know Andrew, been there…. not sure of what the answer is. Here in Gozo people eat them.

Not sure that is a solution for me. Never tried them and probably never will!

Not sure for me either Andrew! And I never quite finished my plate of snail in garlic sauce 🙂 I used to pick all the snails and slugs off my vegetables by gloved hand every night in my rather small garden, and then deposit them in a field full of lush weeds some distance away where also the hedgehogs live. But every night there were more of them – sometimes dozens.

I hope that spring comes soon to you also and I know that Ireland is very beautiful in spring, especially when the bluebells are out.
